GB/T 30789的本部分规定了一种粉化等级的评定方法，尤其适用于粗糙表面上的白色或其他色漆涂层和多涂层体系（例如，粗糙度大于ISO 85031规定的粗糙度比较样块G中的第4段）粉化等级评定。
