GB/T 3098的本部分规定了由奥氏体、马氏体和铁素体耐腐蚀不锈钢制造的、在环境温度为10 ℃～35 ℃条件下测试时,螺母的机械性能。在较高或较低温度下,其性能可能不同。
本部分适用的螺母：
——螺纹公称直径D≤39 mm；
——直径和螺距符合GB/T 192、GB/T 193和GB/T 9144普通螺纹；
——任何形状的；
——对边宽度符合GB/T 3104的规定；
——公称高度m≥0.5D。
本部分不适用于有以下性能要求的螺母：
——锁紧性能；
——可焊接性。
