GB/T 31004的本部分规定了采用声强法测量建筑构件低频段隔声量和构件规范化声级差的方法。在典型的测试设施中，本方法的复现性明显优于GB/T19889.3、GB/T 19889.10及GB/T 31004.1方法。测试结果更加独立于实验室房间的尺寸且更接近在房间容积大于300 m3时的测量值。本部分标准可应用于50 Hz~160 Hz的频率范围，但主要应用于50 Hz~80 Hz的频率范围。
