本标准规定了永久安装在符合GB 50011—2010建筑物中的乘客电梯和载货电梯地震情况下的特殊要求。
本标准规定了GB 7588—2003和GB 21240—2007的附加要求。
本标准适用于新安装的乘客电梯和载货电梯，同时也可作为提高在用乘客电梯和载货电梯安全性的依据。
本标准不适用于表A.1所定义的抗震电梯等级为0级的电梯。
本标准不涉及地震造成的其他风险，例如火灾、洪水或爆炸等。
