本部分既适用于非数字化的、以不同形式和载体存储的信息资源，又适用于最初产生时即以数字图像形态存在的原生数字图像资源，也适用于文献经过数字化加工后派生出的数字图像资源。
本部分适用于图书馆图像资源数字化加工，其他文献信息机构的图像资源数字化加工可参照使用。
