本标准适用于测定非金属密封材料的分解温度和分解速率，也适用于测定非金属密封材料中所含挥发物、添加剂和/或填料的含量，非金属密封材料用原材料亦可参照使用。
本标准适用于动态模式（在程序条件下质量随温度或时间变化）或等温模式（在恒定温度下质量随时间变化）下进行热重测量。
