本标准规定了以闭孔型发泡材料或其他等效材料为浮力材料的船用工作救生衣（以下简称救生衣）的标记示例、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。

本标准适用于内河、湖泊和海上船舶及涉水结构物上工作人员水上作业用救生衣的设计、制造与验收。旅游、休闲等其他近水或水上活动用救生衣可参照使用。
