GB/T 32524的本部分规定了电力电容器单元（以下简称：电容器单元）在半自由场环境（半消声室）中，通过在包围电容器单元的测量面上测量的声压级来确定电容器单元声功率级和指向特性的精密级（GB/T 19052的1级准确度）方法。
本部分的测试频率范围是中心频率为100 Hz～4 000 Hz的1/3倍频带所覆盖的范围。根据需要，频率范围可以扩大或者缩小，但测量环境应符合频率范围的要求。
本部分适用于标称电压1 kV及以上的交流滤波电容器、直流滤波电容器、并联电容器等，其他电力电容器可参考本部分执行。
