本标准规定了精装书籍联动线（以下简称联动线）的术语和定义、型式与基本参数、要求、检验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输与贮存。
本标准适用于自动连续完成书芯输送、书芯压平、书背刷胶、烘干、压平定型、三面切、扒圆、起脊、贴背、上书壳、压槽成型及成品收集等工序的联动线(参见附录A)，也适用于自动连续完成扒圆起脊、贴背、上书壳、压槽成型及成品收集等工序的联动线。
