本标准规定了不锈钢焊接气瓶（以下简称钢瓶）的材料、设计、制造工艺、试验方法、检验规则和标志、包装、运输、存放等最基本的要求。
本标准适用于环境温度-40 ℃～60 ℃下使用的，水压试验压力不大于6.0 MPa（表压）、公称容积为0.5 L～1 000 L 可重复充装与钢瓶材料具有相容性的压缩气体、低压液化气体和溶解气体的钢瓶。
