GB/T 32683的本部分规定了使用落球黏度计测定乳化或悬浮态液体聚合物或树脂黏度的方法。适合本方法测定的流体应具有牛顿流体特征,测量的黏度范围0.6mPa·s～250 000 mPa·s,测量的温度范围为-20 ℃～+120 ℃。如果流体行为与牛顿流体行为明显不同,那么使用不同的落球或不同形式的黏度计,例如毛细管黏度计或旋转黏度计，会得到不同的结果。
