本标准规定了正常和扩展的环境条件下（见附录A），实验室用反应釜的安全要求(不包括玻璃反应釜的安全要求)。本标准也规定了通过检查和型式试验来鉴定设备是否符合本标准要求的方法。

本标准适用于几何容积小于25 L，设计压力不大于35 MPa的反应釜。
