本标准规定了香草［Vanilla fragrans(Salisbury)Ames］的三种试验方法：
a)〓香草豆荚和香草粉水分含量的测定（4.1）；
b)〓香草醛、香草酸、4羟基苯甲醛、4羟基苯甲酸的高效液相色谱测定法（4.2）；
c)〓香草醛的紫外光谱测定法(4.3)。
本标准适用于香草(豆荚、成捆豆荚、碎香草和香草粉)的质量评定及其贸易。
本标准不适用于香草提取物。
