GB/T 33196的本部分规定了在考虑航行条件和可视窗位置的情况下，大型游艇可视窗的技术要求。
大型游艇是用于运动、休闲及商务的船长LH不小于24 m，根据国际船舶吨位丈量公约，吨位限制在3000 GT以下的艇。
本部分仅对位于满载水线（dsw）以上的，且对船舶风雨密完整性和水密完整性有重要影响（即：由于窗格开裂导致水进入船体）的窗及其关闭装置做出了规定。
