GB/T 33578的本部分给出了乙烯装置基于风险的检验（RBI）实施细则。
本部分适用于过热蒸汽稀释管式炉裂解法、以顺序分离流程工艺为主的乙烯装置中实施了RBI项目的承压设备，前脱乙烷和前脱丙烷工艺流程的乙烯装置可参考使用。
本部分不适用于安全阀，安全阀检验策略见GB/T 26610.2。
