本标准规定了车用汽油中酯类化合物（包括乙酸乙酯、乙酸仲丁酯、碳酸二甲酯)的测定方法。
本标准适用于车用汽油，酯类化合物测定浓度为50 mg/L~2 000 mg/L，超过此含量范围用本方法也可测定，但精密度未做考察。
本标准不适用于含醇汽油，某些醇类化合物（如甲醇、乙醇、叔戊醇和仲丁醇)和酮类化合物（如丙酮和丁酮)可能会对酯类化合物的测定产生干扰。
