本标准规定了改善焊接性能热轧型钢的订货内容、分类、牌号表示方法、尺寸、外形、重量及允许偏差、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志及质量证明书。

本标准适用于采用淬火加自回火工艺（QST）生产的改善焊接性能热轧H型钢（以下简称“H型钢”）。其他热轧型钢也可参照本标准。
