本标准规定了管状绝热制品在稳定状态下的水蒸气透过性能试验方法的术语和定义、原理、仪器设备、试件、试验程序、结果计算与表达及试验报告。
本标准适用于建筑及工业设备用均质绝热材料及其表面带完整表皮或其表面粘结其他材料的管状绝热制品水蒸气透过性能的测定。
材料的湿流密度和透湿率与被测试件的厚度有关。对于均质材料，透湿系数是其特有属性。
若管状绝热制品由平板状制品加工而成，可参照GB/T 17146直接测试平板状制品来确定其水蒸气透过性能。
