GB/T 34315的本部分规定了Ⅱ型气胀式救生筏的设计、性能和标记特性，并给出了试验方法：

--具有4人~10人的承载能力；

--适用于长度不大于24 m的小型筏；

--适合从高度不高于4 m的船外抛落；

--设计航行于但不限于可遇见的中等条件区域，例如沿海水域、大海湾、河口、湖泊和河流；

--具有一定的自持力。

Ⅰ型救生筏在ISO 96501中规定。
