本标准规定了工业锅炉用水、循环冷却水和天然水等水中的电导率、pH、酚酞碱度、总碱度、氯离子和硬度等项目的自动连续测定方法。本标准适用的测定范围：电导率为10 μS/cm～10 mS/cm；pH为3～13；酚酞碱度为0 mmol/L～30 mmol/L；总碱度为0.2 mmol/L～50 mmol/L；氯离子为5 mg/L～1 500 mg/L；硬度（以Ca2+、 Mg2+计）为0.015 mmol/L～15 mmol/L。
