本标准规定了蓝宝石抛光衬底片表面深度为5 nm以内的残留金属元素的全反射X光荧光光谱测试方法。
本标准适用于蓝宝石抛光衬底片表面残留的、在元素周期表中11(Na)～92(U)号（除去铝和氧)，且面密度在109 atoms/cm2～1015 atoms/cm2范围内元素的定量测量。其他用途蓝宝石抛光片表面残留金属元素的测量可参照本标准执行。
