本标准适用于金属、非金属板料、卷料及型材冲压车间（或“工厂”，下同)的环境保护。也适用于工业企业中新建、改建和扩建冲压车间（以下统称“建设项目”)的环境保护设计和原有冲压车间技术改造工程（以下统称“技术改造项目”)的环境保护设计。
