本标准规定了用湿度反应法测定建筑材料吸/放湿性能方法的试样、测试仪器、表面（水蒸气）透湿阻设置、试验方法、计算及检验报告。
本标准还定义了建筑材料的吸/放湿效率，通过样品在相同温度条件下，从某一相对湿度条件下的空间移到另一不同相对湿度空间时质量发生的变化进行判定。
材料的吸/放湿性能可通过单次循环或多次循环测定。
