本标准涉及的数据记录格式和报文协议适用于现有的所有数据传输技术，也适用于所有与ISO标准兼容的系统的未来技术。
本标准第4章规定了保温集装箱远程监控系统的性能要求，第5章规定了系统的兼容性要求。除非另有规定，所有保温集装箱远程监控系统均应符合本标准各部分的规定。
