本标准规定了聚四氟乙烯长丝术语和定义、分类与标识、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则和标志、包装、运输与贮存的要求。

本标准适用于聚四氟乙烯单丝以及由单丝合股、加捻制成的合股丝。单丝线密度范围55 dtex～2 000 dtex。其他规格的聚四氟乙烯长丝可参照使用。
