本标准规定了电连接器压接型可拆卸接触件的标识。标识由压接筒外径上的二个色带组成，对热电偶或高温接触件，可附加字母或色点。标识也可采用更多代码以表明其他相关参数，如匹配电缆规格和材料等。
本标准规定的接触件标识适用于符合相关国际标准(ISO)的接触件。对优选型和非优选型接触件，标识的使用均是推荐性的。优选型接触件的插合端和压接筒可容纳的电线具有相同规格。非优选型接触件的插合端和压接筒可容纳的电线在匹配范围内具有不同规格。
