本标准规定了金属薄板薄带十字形试样双向拉伸试验方法的术语和定义、符号及说明、试验原理、试样、试验方法、双向应力应变曲线的测定和试验报告。
本标准适用于板厚不小于0.1 mm且不大于0.08倍试样臂宽（见图1）的十字形试样进行双向拉伸试验测量金属板材应力-应变曲线的试验。试验温度范围为10 ℃～35 ℃。其他温度条件下的双向拉伸试验也可参照本标准执行。
