本标准规定了机械式自动捆扎机的型号、型式、基本参数及工作条件、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输与贮存。
本标准适用于以聚乙烯(PE)、聚丙烯(PP)打包带(以下简称“打包带”)作为捆扎材料，采用机械传动送带、穿带，以热熔搭接为接头形式，可连续或单次自动完成物体捆扎的机械式自动捆扎机(以下简称“捆扎机”)。
