本标准规定了飞机混合式远程功率控制器的设计和性能通用要求。混合式远程功率控制器包括一个用于负载开关的电磁装置或电磁/固态组合装置和一个用于控制负载开关装置的固态控制电路。
在飞机上，远程功率控制器用于接通和断开电路，并且当负载过载或短路时用以保护线路以及设备。
负载开关装置和固态控制电路可以安装于同一装置内，也可以做为两个相互连接的分离单元。
注： 在可行的前提下，混合式远程功率控制器的接口需尽量与固态功率控制器兼容。
