本标准规定了冶金用变频调速设备的分类与额定值、使用条件、技术要求、试验项目及标志、包装、运输与贮存。

本标准适用于额定输入电压为交流1 kV等级及以下、额定输入频率为50 Hz或60 Hz，输出电压 1 kV 及以下，输出频率小于300 Hz的高性能、重载型变频调速设备。
