本标准规定了采用电感耦合等离子体原子发射光谱（ICP-OES)法和电感耦合等离子体质谱（ICP-MS)法测定高纯碳化硅中微量元素含量的方法。
本标准适用于碳化硅质量分数含量大于或等于99.9%的高纯碳化硅材料中铝、砷、钙、铬、铜、铁、汞、钾、镁、锰、钠、镍、铅、硫、钛、锌等16种元素的测定。各元素的测定范围见表1（以质量分数计)。
