本标准适用于1∶2 500 000、1∶1 000 000、1∶500 000、1∶250 000、1∶100 000、1∶50 000、1∶25 000、1∶10 000月球数字地图的测图、编绘、更新以及产品的制作，以及以其为基础的各种月球基础地理空间信息中地形图要素信息的采集、存储、检索、分析、输出及交换。其他比例尺月球数字地图可参照执行。
