本标准规定了采用盐酸法，测定去除非纤维物质后的醋酯纤维或三醋酯纤维与某些其他纤维混合物中纤维含量的方法。
本标准适用于醋酯纤维与羊毛、山羊绒、其他动物纤维、蚕丝、棉、苎麻、亚麻、粘胶纤维、莫代尔纤维、莱赛尔纤维、聚丙烯腈纤维、聚酯纤维、氨纶和聚乳酸纤维的二组分混合物，也适用于三醋酯纤维与聚丙烯腈纤维、聚酯纤维和聚乳酸纤维的二组分混合物。
其他同类纤维可参照执行。
