本标准规定了小型电动高压清洗机的安全要求、标志、标识和说明书。
本标准适用于输送介质为常温清水或运动黏度不大于 45 mm2/s、不含颗粒、无腐蚀性的清洗剂混合液，由电动机驱动的移动式和便携式手持喷枪射流作业的商用与家用小型电动高压清洗机（以下简称清洗机）。
本标准不适用于在特殊环境场所，如易燃易爆、有毒有害气体和放射性等环境场所使用的清洗机。
