本标准规定了指针式石英钟（以下简称“石英钟”)走时精度的基本参数、要求和试验方法。
本标准适用于晶振频率为32 768 Hz，标称电压为DC 1.5 V的指针式石英台钟和挂钟,指针式石英钟机心也可参照使用。
本标准不适用于以下石英钟：
——飞机、船舶、车辆等设备上特定使用的钟；
——与其他制品配套的钟；
——电波钟。
