本标准规定了金属材料在高温腐蚀条件下的等温暴露氧化试验的设备、气体供应、试样、试验过程、质量变化的计算、质量变化的分析、试验后试样的评价和试验报告等内容。
本标准适用于在环境温度至高温下的气体环境中的金属材料的热循环腐蚀试验(即循环氧化试验)方法(每个试样均进行一系列重复的、规则的、受控的温度循环)。进行适当调整后还可用于其他材料的测试。
本标准不适用于采用极短保持时间(几分钟或几秒)的试验。
