本标准规定了反应后的Cu/Nb3Sn复合超导线室温拉伸试验方法原理、装置、试样制备、测试条件、结果计算、测量不确定度、测试报告。
本试验方法用于通过应力应变曲线来测量弹性模量和规定塑性延伸强度（由复合体中铜和铜锡组分的屈服而产生）。
另外，弹性极限、抗拉强度、断后伸长率可由本方法测量。根据国际循环比对试验报告，弹性极限和断后伸长率的测量具有很大不确定度，因此，这些物理量为选测。
本标准适用于测量横截面积在0.15 mm2～2.0 mm2,铜-非铜体积比在0.2～1.5之间的圆形或矩形截面的无绝缘覆层试样。
