本标准适用于第二相粒子尺寸在纳米到亚微米范围的统计各向同性的稀疏样品体系。本标准适用于金属、陶瓷、高分子、矿物等固体样品的检测，对于液体样品可参考执行，适宜的样品厚度约0.5 mm~10 mm(例如，高分子样品约0.5 mm~3 mm，陶瓷、矿物约0.5 mm~5 mm，常用金属材料约0.5 mm~10 mm)。
