本标准适用于准确度等级为0.000 1~0.1［1 ppm～1 000 ppm（百万分之几），1×10-6~1×10-3（科学标记法scientific notation）］的直流电位差计，并适用于上述电位差计的内附辅助设备。
本标准不适用于自动获得零平衡的电位差计，不适用于那些借平衡检测器刻度获得部分指示值的电位差计，也不适用于与电位差计一起使用的外部辅助设备。
