本标准规定了用埃里克森杯突试验测定金属薄板和薄带在拉延成型时承受塑性变形能力的方法。本标准适用于测定厚度为 0.1 mm~2.0 mm、宽度不小于90 mm的金属薄板和薄带。对于较厚的或只能取到较窄试样的薄板和薄带，需采用指定尺寸的模具，并在结果表示时使用下标注明，见表 1。
