GB/T 4909的本部分规定了裸电线焊球法镀层可焊性试验的试验设备、试样制备、测量步骤、试验结果及评定等。
本部分适用于测试镀锡铜线表面被熔融焊料润湿的特性，这种特性用一特定时间表示。
本部分方法是用试样将熔融焊料的焊球平分两半，测量试样切开焊球到焊料流至试样四周并把试样覆盖住所需的时间。这个时间指示出试样的可焊性。
本部分应与GB/T 4909.1—2009一起使用。
