GB/T 4909的本部分规定了裸电线拉力试验的试验设备、试样制备、测量步骤、试验结果及评定等。
本部分适用于各种圆形、矩形、异形导体及绞合导体的拉伸性能的测量。
本部分规定的试验方法是使一定长度的试件承受递增的拉应力，通常是直到试样断裂，测定其破断力和伸长率。
