GB/T 4909的本部分规定了多硫化钠法镀层连续性试验的试验设备、试样制备、测量步骤、试验结果及评定等。
本部分适用于检验电线电缆铜导体表面金属镀层（如镀锡、银、镍层等）的连续性。
本部分与GB/T 4909.10—2009具有等效作用，但无论采用何种方法，应以满足产品标准对金属镀层的规定要求为准。
本部分应与GB/T 4909.1—2009一起使用。
