本试验方法规定了通孔、轴向和表面安装器件(SMDs)的“浸入和观察”可焊性试验程序，以及可选的SMDs板级安装可焊性试验程序，用于模拟在元器件使用时采用的焊接过程。本试验方法也规定了老化条件,该条件为可选。
除有关文件另有规定外，本试验属于破坏性试验。
