本标准规定了船舶和近海装置用电工产品的额定频率、额定电压和额定电流值。本标准适用于船舶和近海装置（移动式及固定式)的电工产品。该电工产品包括可靠固定及永久连接的动力、照明、电热、炊具设备；自动控制系统和通信、导航设备的外部通用供电电源装置；电工仪表；在安全电压下工作的移动电动工具及移动照明器件和设备等。
本标准不适用于下列情况：
a)〓设备内部专用的供电电源及连接于这些电源的器件和部件；
b)〓热继电器的热元件和熔断器的熔断体（对额定电流参数)；
c)〓发电机的励磁设备；
d)〓专用设备和电缆等。
