本标准规定了热电偶用补偿导线的产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标识、包装等。
本标准适用于分度号为S、R、K、N、E、J和T的热电偶配用的补偿导线（以下简称补偿导线)。补偿导线的绝缘层与护套以聚氯乙烯、无碱玻璃丝及聚四氟乙烯为主体材料。对于其他材料，若能满足本标准的技术要求，亦可采用。
