GB/T 5170的本部分规定了振动（随机）试验用液压振动台在进行定型鉴定，首次检验和定期检验时的检验项目、检验用主要仪器及要求、检验条件、检验时的一般规定、检验方法及检验结果等内容。
本部分适用于按GB/T 2423.56和GB/T 2424.25进行振动试验用液压振动台（以下简称振动台）基本参数的检验方法。
本部分也适用于类似试验设备的检验。
