GB/T 5171的本部分规定了小功率电动机的通用技术要求。
本部分适用于折算至1 500 r/min时最大连续额定功率不超过1.1 kW的电动机。
本部分也适用于上述功率以外的其他单相异步电动机。
 各类型电动机的特殊要求及本部分未规定的其他要求应在各类型电动机的产品标准中规定。
