本标准规定了保证淬透性结构钢条钢的订货内容、分类和代号、尺寸、外形、重量及允许偏差、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、包装、标志和质量证明书等。
本标准适用于机械制造用保证淬透性的热轧及热锻结构钢条钢（以下简称钢材）。用末端淬火方法测定或按公式计算钢的淬透性。
