本标准规定了通过测定纸浆在特定浓度（质量分数为18%、10%或其他）的氢氧化钠溶液中所溶出的还原性物质在特定条件下对重铬酸钾的消耗量，以反映纸浆在特定浓度的氢氧化钠溶液中所溶出的有机物含量的测定方法。
本标准适用于漂白浆、半漂浆及未漂浆的碱溶解度的测定，也可用于制造漂白浆各阶段的研究。
